Ministry and Leadership Workshop for High School Youth in Iowa
About WIYLDE
Where can you find a proven leadership camp for the
youth of your church that is affordable, Lutheran-centered and fun? At WIYLDE
(Wholly Iowa Youth Leadership Discipling Event) held at Luther College in
Decorah, Iowa, July 27 - Aug. 1, 2010. WIYLDE trains the youth of the church to
serve now as they are becoming the future of the church as pastors, lay leader
and active members of a congregation.
Entering its 10th year, WIYLDE has enriched the lives of hundreds
of Iowa students in grades 9-12. WIYLDE offers a gospel-based curriculum,
identifying and emphasizing the gifts with which each person is bestowed and
using those gifts to serve their local church and the world around them. WIYLDE
participants return to their churches to become mentors, start Bible studies,
organize youth activities, and serve on the church council.
Underwritten by the grant-funded Sense of Vocation Program at
Luther College, WIYLDE is very affordable at $295 for the week, which includes
lodging, meals and materials. Information and registration forms are available
online or by contacting Mark at the synod office, 319-352-1414.
