What does the LYO do?
(excerpts from the constitution)

• Be the primary liaison for youth with the expressions of the ELCA

• Call business meetings of the LYO and the Annual Gathering

• Advocate for inclusive youth ministry

• Research and develop resources for youth ministry

• Assist congregations and conferences in visioning and needs assessment

• Coordinate a calendar of youth events held throughout the synod

• Oversee a synodical Youth Ministry newsletter
