If you are on Facebook you may have noticed the last few weeks the Synod Facebook page sharing an album every Sunday called “Around the Synod”
with pictures from churches around the synod.
with pictures from churches around the synod.
It began when I noticed a lot of churches in our Synod were
doing different interesting things and I decided to share them. Then I thought what if we did this every week? And what if I could convince those
posting the pictures to make it easier for me to find all the photos if they
would include the hashtag #AroundtheSynod ?

Not only does this sharing bring us together, but it encourages people
to share what is going on in their churches on social media just like they
share other things they do during the week.

Also I’m hoping to get everyone in practice for an ecumenical
social media event on Reformation Sunday, “Social Media Sunday”. Social Media Sunday began with two church social media administrators in the Episcopalian church with an invitation for people to share their faith online.
