Thirteen members of the Northeastern Iowa Synod joined more than 800 ELCA voting members for the 2022 ELCA Churchwide Assembly in Columbus, Ohio, Aug. 8-12.
With the theme, Embody the Word, voting members acted on key legislative business, heard reports, worshiped together, elected a new vice president, and more.
The ELCA Churchwide Assembly meets every three years and is the primary decision-making body of the church.
