Dale and Jean Peercy, national trainers for Lutheran Disaster Response, will lead a webinar about what people need to know before cleaning up a home impacted by disaster. The two-hour live webinar will be presented Friday, April 28, 10 a.m. to 12 noon Central time.
Volunteers are vital for the clean-up of a community impacted by a disaster. It is important to know what needs to be done behind the scenes before volunteers can start their work.
This webinar will review forms to identify volunteer skills, client information and release forms. It will also discuss safety issues that need to be assessed before, during, and after the clean up of a home, including preventive steps that should be taken to reduce the risk for further damage of a residence.
Registration for the webinar is required. Everyone registered will receive a Zoom link the evening before the webinar.
The link below will go to the Learning Management System (LMS) that Lutheran Disaster Response uses. After creating an account, click on Course Catalog that is on the left side of the site.
