The Northeastern Iowa Synod’s Youth Ministry Network will host a “Plan-It” Event to help faith formation leaders develop a one-year calendar of events for their youth and family ministries.
Lyle Griener of Peer Ministry Leadership will lead this free planning event Thursday, May 18, 9:45 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Independence.
This is a one-day guided planning and sharing experience for those responsible for faith formation ministries. Griener will offer planning tools, templates and a system to help participants plan out a year of themes and events that will involve nearly every youth in their congregations.
Youth leaders, faith formation directors, children’s ministry directors, pastors, and volunteers are encouraged to attend. People should plan to bring their entire planning team, laptops, and a list of important dates to plan around, such as community and school events. Everyone will have an opportunity to share ideas as part of the planning process.
REGISTER BY MAY 16
There is no cost to attend. Lunch will be provided, so registration is required by May 16.
