Lay Ministry
Training Program

Help support a new Lay Ministry Training program that will give congregation leaders the tools and support they need to carry out ministry when congregations are without a pastor or deacon.
With your help, Lay Ministry Training will ensure that lay leaders are:
- equipped with skills to preach and lead worship
- surrounded with the support of teachers, mentors, and classmates
- affirmed through a vetting process
H. George Anderson
Fund for Leaders

The H. George Anderson Fund for Leaders provides scholarships for seminary students to help with the high costs of education and to encourage new people to enter the ministry. Providing scholarships to seminary students may also attract more first call pastors to the Northeastern Iowa Synod.
Young Adults
In Global Mission

The Northeastern Iowa Synod supports young adults who serve in our companion synod in Hungary through the ELCA’s Young Adults in Global Mission (YAGM) program. In addition, this synod encourages support for volunteers from Northeastern Iowa who serve in other countries through the YAGM program.
Congregations and individuals can support these young adult volunteers by following their blogs, subscribing to their newsletters, writing letters, praying for them, and sponsoring them with financial support.
Annual
Fund

Gifts to the Northeastern Iowa Synod support and strengthen the ministries of the rostered leaders, congregations and partners of this synod, including youth ministry, leadership training, campus ministry, mission projects, companion synods, and more.
