The Northeastern Iowa Synod will host Informational meetings for interested adult leaders to prepare for registration for the 2024 ELCA Youth Gathering and to learn more about the event. Registration for the Youth Gathering in New Orleans opens in September.
The informational meetings will be:
- Sunday, June 4 at 2 p.m.
Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls - Sunday, June 25 at 6:30 p.m.
St. John Lutheran, Charles City - Wednesday, June 28 at 12 Noon (Rescheduled for July 6)

YOUTH & YOUNG ADULT GATHERINGS
The 2024 ELCA Youth Gathering will take place July 16-20 at New Orleans, with the pre-events scheduled for July 13-16. This year’s theme is “Created to Be,” centered on Psalm 139:14.
Thousands of high-school age Lutherans from across the country and overseas will gather for faith formation, worship, fellowship and service. Youth participants must be in eighth to 12th grade at the time of registration this fall.
Due to the cancellation of the 2022 ELCA Youth Gathering, many young people lost the opportunity to participate in the gathering’s faith-formation events. In response, young adults are invited to join the first-ever Young Adult Gathering, which will take place alongside the 2024 Gathering.
