The Northeastern Iowa Synod Disaster Response Network invites congregations and individuals to support a Waverly area effort to replenish some of the synod’s 300 flood buckets that were given to the Western Iowa Synod during the June 2024 flooding.
St. Paul Lutheran and Wartburg College of Waverly, along with Faith Lutheran of Shell Rock, are collecting cleaning supplies to assemble flood buckets on Oct. 6, 2024. A list of needed supplies has been set up on Amazon, where people can purchase items and have them delivered directly to St. Paul Lutheran (301 1st St NW, Waverly, IA 50677), where the buckets will be assembled.
