Two training events will focus on suicide awareness and prevention Feb. 28 and March 1 at St. John Lutheran, Nashua. Congregational leaders, families and members of the broader community in the Northeastern Iowa Synod are invited to attend at no charge.
The workshops were developed by Soul Shop, a nonprofit organization that equips faith communities to minister to those impacted by suicide. A trained “Soul Shop” representative will lead both sessions. The workshops are being offered free of charge through funding provided by “Everybody Hurts,” a suicide awareness nonprofit organization from New Hampton.
