Women of the ELCA and their friends are invited to an appreciation event Feb. 23-24 at Ewalu Stone Retreat Center, Strawberry Point.
Sponsored by the Northeastern Iowa Women of the ELCA Synod Board and Katie’s Fund, this “Rejoice and Renew” event is an opportunity to gather with other women to celebrate, learn and do ministry together.
Arrive anytime after 4 p.m. to join Friday’s activities, including a baked potato bar, hymn sing, game and craft. Saturday’s activities start with breakfast/coffee at 8 a.m. and include a noon meal, a look at global health ministries, hymn sing, Bible study and rolling bandages. The day will conclude at 3 p.m.
The cost to attend is $35 for both days, including overnight accommodation. The rate for those wanting to attend only on Saturday is $15, including the noon meal. In case of inclement weather, the event will take place March 1-2.
